It's a quiet day...

but I've been busy. I've cleaned my wood floors and the powder bath, done three loads of laundry, taken the trash out to be picked up tomorrow, solved a scary computer problem, blocked my Raindrops on Roses Shawl, and read the newspaper (which I love to do on Sundays). I have a long list of things that need to be done, but I'm taking the rest of the day off.

I was looking around my sewing room and thought it might be fun to post pictures of what it looks like today. It's always piled since I have more "stuff" than room to store stuff!

And, last but certainly not least... I ordered some fabric last week. It's the first time in a very long, long time that I've ordered more than just a yard or two and I don't even do that very often. You can see that I don't need any more fabric. With that said, these are Kaffe, Kathy Doughty, and Anna Maria Horner fabrics that I've been wanting for awhile. Thought the time was right since February is my birthday month! Happy Birthday to me! :)

Kaffe Quilt "Kits"... for sale!

I "kitted" fabrics for two of Kaffe Fassett's quilts and sold them in my online quilt shop in 2010, just after the book (in which the patterns can be found) was published. They sold like "hotcakes".

Every time I created a bundle, FQ pack, or design roll to sell, I kept one for myself. And now the time has come to do a little de-stashing. Are you ready?

I cannot stop...

I just can't stop making mug rugs! I use them all the time and finally have trained DH to use them. He always says, "they're too pretty to use" and I tell him, "I can make more." That's an understatement, if I ever heard one.

Reminds me of a lovely summer day!

I made this quilt a couple of years ago and stuck it in my pile of quilts and promptly forgot about it. I guess that's because I made two quilts - same design, same fabrics - one just a lot bigger than this one. Well, I don't need two of them! :)

So this one is in the shop!

They're here....

They came today as promised... the Kaffe Fassett Collective Spring 2013 fat quarter packs and design rolls. They contain 30 pieces each with fabrics from Kaffe Fassett, Brandon Mably, and Philip Jacobs. Sampler #3 is the blues/greens, Sampler #2 is the pinks/oranges/reds, and Sampler #1 is everything else.

SRP for the FQ packs is $100 but I just can't force myself to charge that so I'm going to offer them at a slightly reduced price of $87.99 SRP for the Design Rolls is $33 and I'm offering them for $30.50.

I hope to have them listed in the shop by Friday or Saturday, but if you know you want something, just email me and I'll set it aside for you. They are already going fast!I know these photos are not the best and I'll get some better ones posted soon.

New Kaffe FQ packs & design rolls...

The newest Kaffe Fassett FQ packs and design rolls are scheduled to be delivered to my home on Wednesday. I'm thinking I'll go ahead and offer them in the shop, but they won't be on sale the way everything else is. I'm excited to see them since I can't remember what the fabrics look like. :)

I spent the weekend working in the yard. One of our sideyards was overgrown and littered with dead leaves and debris from fall and winter so I raked the entire thing, pruned all the bushes, pulled weeds, and then put a layer of mulch down (cedar bark - it's smelled soooo good while I was putting it down). I don't have a sense of smell so that was a whole new sensation for me. Anyway, it looks so nice and my DH was very surprised - he had forgotten that we had 4 large stepping stones there it had gotten so overgrown.

I've still got lots left to do in the yard and I've been trying to go out for a little while each morning. If a I do a little bit each day, I think I can get it all done before all the weeds start to grow again. 

My fabric SALE is still going strong (and I'm still nagging you to visit)!! We've got GREAT prices...come see! It looks as though I may have to discontinue accepting credit cards in the shop at the end of the month. It all depends upon the company that provides my merchant account services. We'll see. Anyway, I'll obviously still accept Paypal payments and credit card payments via Paypal (and that works even if you don't have an account with them).
