Photoshop fun!

It's been a busy week for me, as usual, but this time it was all doctor appointments. I've been to 4 different doctors now and have had 4 different diagnosis for my ear problem. It's frustrating to say the least and I'm still not feeling better. I'm beginning to trust my intuition much more than I trust doctors. I walked out of the specialists office just shaking my head at what he told me. I would be crazy if I acted on that information. This is going to make me sound old (which I am), but I remember when a doctor really knew what he was talking about. :)

Anyway, to cheer myself up a bit, I played around in photoshop some more and created these two looks from the same photo. Which one do you like best? These photos were taken three years ago when I was at the Long Beach Quilt Festival. We walked across the street to get something to eat and found this charming little "village".

I really have been wanting a Lensbaby lens and until I get one, this is the next best method to get the look I'm going for.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend - I know I'm planning on having one.

Take care,

Wanna see what I did?

I was offered a free 8 x 8 Shutterfly photo book by Hilton Honors recently and I couldn't say no. I had fun putting it together and it was easy and very straightforward to do. I had been wanting to do a Shutterfly book ever since my sis did one a couple of years ago. Hers turned out really well so I hoped mine would too.

Now that I've received my hardcopy I see that there are a few things I would do differently next time. For one thing, I would make the text smaller and some of the photos larger. For the cover, I used the embellishment "stickers" and although I thought I had them spaced correctly and lined up, I see now that I could have done better. It's all a learning experience though, and I'm certainly very happy with my book!

If you would like to see my entire book, here's an opportunity. Maybe it will inspire you to create your own Shutterfly photo book. I hope so.
The new way to make a photo album: photo books by Shutterfly.

Don't forget about my knitted socks giveaway. Go to this post to leave me a comment to have a chance at winning!

Take care,

If you're interested in photography...

I would like to invite you to visit my photo blog, Fifty for Four. I'm getting more and more interested in photography and it's been fun to link up with Mary at Little Red House for her Mosaic Mondays.

I think many of you are probably having fun with photography too, because I sure see a lot of gorgeous photos on your blogs. I always love a good photo!

Happy Monday!
