I bought a little fabric on our trip. Actually, it was my husband's idea, can you believe it? He's definitely an enabler. Anyway, we shipped it home vis USPS and it was here when we arrived. Talk about great service.
I can pack a lot of fabric into those medium flat rate priority envelopes!
Some of this is current, but a lot is fabric that's from a season or two ago. I don't care cuz I love it all. The majority of these are larger pieces to use as backings since that's one thing I just don't have enough of.
I didn't get a chance to get these unpacked until today... now all I have to do is find room for them. Oy.
A few pieces came from Alewives Fabric in Damariscotta Mills. We just happened upon it as we were driving around and it was such a treat. It's located in an old house on a little side street and it's really very charming inside. They have all the latest and greatest fabrics and many, many gorgeous samples (of all kinds, but a lot of beautiful quilts) displayed in the shop. If you're in the neighborhood, this is definitely someplace you should stop.
Take care,

I've been Christmas shopping already. A visit to LL Bean and I have the perfect gift for my niece and nephew! Thank goodness they don't read my blog! I love LL Bean and have visited their store in Freeport, Maine many times in the past. I wouldn't mind living there since Maine is a gorgeous state. There's just something about it that grabs me and won't let go. Maybe it's the wonderful lobster. Portland, Boothbay Harbor and Camden are all my favorite places. Just writing about it makes me want to go NOW! On our last trip my diet consisted of lobster for every meal followed at lunch by a Ben & Jerry's ice cream cone and I LOST 7 lbs!! Yummy!
