With Sally's permission...

I'm posting just a snippet of one of the lovely quilt tops she recently made in a Sue Benner class she took. To see the other quilt tops she created, you'll need to visit her lovely blog! Sally has become a very good blog friend (in addition to being a wonderful customer - she loves Kaffe too!) and I love keeping up with her activities. She's got a great color sense and it's fun to see the quilts she creates.

A little about Sue Benner. Have you ever taken a class from her? If you have then you know what an exceptionally generous teacher she is. She takes time with each and every student - even if it's only to answer a simple question. And her quilts....they are absolutely stunning. Each and every one of them.

Along with two of my LOTE friends, I took a 3-day class from Sue in Gualala, CA. I posted about it here, here, and here. That's along the coast in northern CA - a day's drive for us, but totally worth it. We extended our trip by staying a couple of extra nights along the way up and back so it's a trip I'll always remember. Especially the coastline after leaving Petaluma - it's quite stunning! Gualala was the perfect place to take Sue's class too - so peaceful and so creative! You know what I liked best - besides the class, of course - our cell phones didn't work there! Ahhhhh....quiet! You could actually hear yourself think.

Sue Benner IS a wonderful person -- she's on my list of Teachers I Must Take Classes From. I agree that her work is beautiful, too.
