MATO QAL - the final link up!

It's the last day of our Midnight at the Oasis (MATO) QAL. It's hard to believe I've been working on this quilt for four months already. I've still got just a tiny, tiny bit left to do on the applique border but, as you can see here, I've gone ahead and made some of the blocks needed for the following three borders just to get a feel for what the completed quilt might look like. I'm going to continue working on it and know that it will go much quicker when I begin the rest of the borders.

I'm going to love it when it's finished! I'm so glad I signed up to do this quilt before I had really fully read the pattern instructions. I might have chickened out and not done it and that would have been a shame. It's been a true learning process and I think I can safely say that this is my favorite quilt out of all that I have made over the years.

I've linked up with Sharon at her blog, Fabric and Flowers, and hope the others making the quilt do too!  Thanks so much to Sharon and Jess, too, at the Elven Garden for hosting this great QAL!

I'll post photos of this quilt again, when I have the top done and one final time when it's completely finished (quilted and bound)!

Take care,

I'm linking up to all of my previous MATO posts for future reference! They are #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, and #6.

Wow! It's fantastic. I admire your perseverance. (And, as an aside, one of your links doesn't work for me--says can't find the server. Could just be me).
Anxious to see what's next on your quilting list.

Both this quilt and the Fractured one are simply gorgeous. Kudos to you for your hard work and persistence -- they really paid off in two masterpieces!

This is looking great! It'll be something to see once it's finished. (I chickened out of making it when I read the pattern book. Maybe some other year...)

I really like that black with yellow crosses - what a neat fabric, and it looks fantastic in the background like that!

I love it. I still have to work on paper piecing the last row. I love how you have gone ahead and made elements to get an idea of how it will look. Great work!
