Mystery quilt layout suggestions?

This last Thursday, at our quilting group meeting, we were given our last two clues on the mystery quilt we're making. When we meet again in January the 11th clue will be the "reveal." However, since I've already got all my blocks finished, I thought I would play around with layouts and see what I could come up with.

I could only think of these four...

and, of the four I really only think two are true possibilities although I actually like all of them. What do you think? Which one is your favorite? I'll be anxious to hear which one is the most popular.

I've already decided which one I like best and have sewn the top together. Now I'm working on a border, since in my mind, I see this as a medallion quilt.  I won't do my "reveal" until our quilting group has met in January since I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone in our group. With that said, I'm not even sure that anyone from my group reads my blog, but I would rather be safe, than sorry.

Speaking of my group... our Christmas party was wonderful. Lots of great food and fun games. One lucky gal went home with 15 3/4 yards of black/white/grey fabrics (in fat quarters) after winning the "Left Right Center" game.

Everyone ready for Christmas?

Take care,

I vote for number 4! It looks lovely. What is the size of your medallion now? It almost looks like poinsettias with the colors you've chosen :)

I'd go with the third one... but the fourth is a close second!

I like #4 best. How do you play left right center game? We usually chose a wrapped gift and open it, then the next person can steal it or chose an unopened gift.

Terri. I designed the Mystery Quilt and was there this morning for the reveal. You absolutely blew me away with your 4 layouts. It was beyond my imagination. You've taken it to the next level. Now I want to know how you set up your camera to photograph them so perfectly square.

Hi Kathy!

Since you are "no-reply" I cannot email a reply to you so I'm leaving it here in the hope that you'll see it.

First of all, let me say thank you for your very, very nice comment.

I had such fun with this mystery quilt and can't wait for the next one. Your instructions were perfect... easy to follow and logical. So, thank you for making it such fun!

As for the photos... I put the quilt layouts on my design wall and then set up my camera on the tripod directly across from it (about 15 feet away) and shot straight on. Then, just cropped the images to take out the background. It was easy!
