Quilting and blocking my scarf...

I'm halfway done with the quilting on the Scrappy Mountain Majesties. I contemplated for a time doing feathers across all the light areas and straight lines across all the dark ones, but decided against it in the end. It seemed like too much for this quilt. To me, this quilt just needed some simple quilting to bring it to life so I chose vertical straight lines and I'm very happy with how it is looking.

One more day for this scarf to dry and then I can block the blue one. I don't do anything elaborate to block the scarves although it would probably be a lot easier to use the wires that are made for blocking. Instead, I just lay a bath sheet down on the carpet and pin the scarf flat. Then I spray it with water until it is soaked. When it's dry, I do it again. It's easy and it works really well.

Take care,

I love your scarf! (And your quit as well--seems you're enjoying having more free time to work on your projects). Anyway, what is the pattern for the scarf? Thanks. Sally

Your straight lines are very straight....I need to start using my edge guide! Love your scarf. Is blocking really that simple?

I was wondering how I was going to block this 72" scarf I just finished, and your method is perfect. Never thought of using the floor -- silly me.

Love your color combination -- what flavors did you use here?

I think you made the right decision on the quilting. I like the straight lines!
