Farmer's market & a blog introduction!

Hi all!

I hope your weekend was lovely and relaxing. DH and I had a very nice one, thank you. We spent Saturday doing our inside "chores" as usual, mowing, edging, and blowing the yard, potting and re-potting plants, pruning overgrown shrubs and just generally enjoying life. We finally got around to watching Argo in the evening.

Yesterday we went over to the farmer's market in the Channel Islands where we bought a 10 lb bag of the best oranges I think I've ever tasted. We made juice from some of them and - oh my - it's the best orange juice. Luckily, we'll be able to get more of these oranges for at least another month. This vendor drives down from his ranch in Kingsburg, which is about a 3-hour drive, to sell at the farmer's market. While we were there, I also got some Freesias. I rarely see these in any flower market so I had to grab a couple bunches. DH tells me they smell wonderful.

I also want to introduce you to a great friend of mine. She's just started her blog and I think you (and I) are going to really enjoy it. She lives in New Zealand and already I can tell it's going to be a treat to see what she shares. Maureen's blog is Mystic Quilter - I just love that name!

My SALE is still going strong (yes, I'm still nagging you to visit and as sick as you are of hearing about it, I am about writing about it)!! We've got GREAT prices...come see! Remember that once a fabric is gone, it's gone - I won't be reordering. Hopefully, everything will sell out in the next month or so and I'll be able to close up the shop and open my new etsy shop. I'll miss some things about the shop, but I already feel excited about my new etsy adventure. Hope you'll all follow me over there.

Take care,

I went to visit the new blog. It's lovely! It must have been so nice to get fresh from the orchard oranges!
We watched Argo on Saturday night too. Wasn't it good?

We are a long way off from any farmer's markets around here. The flowers are lovely, I can almost smell them :0)
