Sewing strip sets....

I've been making more strip sets for mug rugs. These are 8 1/2" x 10 1/2" and will probably end up being trimmed down a bit by the time they are sandwiched and quilted.

And while I like all of the fabric combinations, this one is my favorite...

It's been fun sitting in my sewing room each night doing a strip set or two. Reminds me of the old days when I would spend 8+ hours just sitting and sewing/quilting. I sure miss those days.

SO beautiful, Terri. A lovely spring collection. You have amazing taste in fabric.

I don't think I could pick a favorite, they're all so wonderful!

Such a good feeling to see something come out of leftover strips. I often cut my scraps into 1 and 1/2 in. strips thinking I will make a log cabin with them some day. If you get a chance hop over and see my post "Sensational Swap". I joined a tote swap and I made mine out of strips. I even left the pinked edges. It was a honey bun roll I won at a shop hop.
Hugs,
Jann

Fantastic. Love them all! Did you pick the strips randomly or is there some method to your madness? Sally

I miss those days, too, Terri -- where did they go??? I thought we'd all have lots of time in our later years to sit and play and make beautiful fabric, like the ones you've done here.
