During Saturday's class I took photos...

and want to share all the creativity with you. Jane's first eagle (not the wild and crazy one) is not here since it's a gift and Susan didn't feel she was far enough along to share, but here are the rest.

This is Linda's and everyone agrees that her eyes are wonderful!

The next one belongs to Carol. Carol is one of my LOTE quilting buddies and you've seen a few of her quilts here on my blog before. I'll be seeing her on Thursday evening and hope to get a photo of her progress then.

This is Rene's quilt. I watched her work and she's very precise. This will be a stunner when it's finished. Plus, she's using some of her own hand-painted fabrics!

I didn't get this gals name, but her eagle is beautiful too! She had some extraordinarily gorgeous fabrics that she was using. I wouldn't mind shopping with her! She also used Kaffe's Lotus Leaf in Jade for a couple of her feathers and it was perfect. I never would have thought of doing that, but it worked so well.

And, here's mine now. Last Wednesday it looked like this and by Friday it looked like this. I'm not finished adding feathers as the goal is to cover the entire base fabric and as you can see, I haven't done that yet. I'm so happy with it and it's not at all what I had envisioned. Of course, I didn't take any of the fabrics that I had imagined I would use to class with me. Make's it kinda hard to use them! LOL

Next post I'll write about our instructor and answer some questions that have been asked along the way.

This is fascinating Terri! Tell us lots more about it. Did you say yet how the fabric is attached to the base fabric?

They are all different but just stunning. There's a lot of depth in the face.

These are nothing short of amazing! Your fabric choices make him leap off the page -- and what precision! Can't wait to see the finished piece.

Those are pretty wonderful -- I love the way they look so realistic even though the color choices weren't necessarily.
