Looks like Fall here...

At one of our recent LOE meetings, my friend Glenna brought this newly completed quilt to share. She made it as a gift and by now it's residing with it's new owner. Who loves it, I'm sure, and if they don't they can send it to me because I LOVE this quilt. I love the colors Glenna used and I love that she toned down all the wild color with a very plain neutral as a sashing and the darker green setting triangles!

She got some wonderful blocks from these two fabrics. Yes, these blocks are from only two great fabrics! One's a Kaffe and the other is Valori Wells.

What's really surprising about this quilt is that it's a total departure from the quilts that Glenna usually makes. She's much more conservative and traditional and in fact, she didn't have the slightest bit of doubt that this quilt should be a gift! :)

We are lucky to have a group of such diversity. Every meeting there are surprises and inspiration galore. We're now working on a Maple Leaf Log Cabin charity quilt. We had our batik strip exchange and now we'll each make a block for the charity quilt and some will make their own quilt.

Okay, you have to tell me your secret: Have you found more than 24 hours in a day??!! How do you do it all, my friend, and do it so well?! Bless your talent and thank you for sharing it with us.

I can see why you wanted to share your friends success. This is beautiful. She did a great job fussy cutting from the 2 fabrics.
