Lazy and h-o-t!

It was so H-O-T this weekend, we mostly just hung around the house. When we finally couldn't stand it any longer we got in the car and took the back road down the hill. It's beautiful back there and there is always something growing or something being planted. This is what's now planted in the old mustard field. Celery...just a few inches high but a whole field of it. It'll be gorgeous in a couple weeks.

And on the other side of the road, radishes are flourishing. I didn't realize what this was until we stopped the car to take these pics.

I love this area and hope that it continues to be farmland for years to come. It's peaceful and beautiful and there's always something new to see.

Trying to stay cool,

It's been on the cooler side here but beautiful. The farmers are cutting wheat and the sunsets are beautiful because of all the dust in the air. Living in the country just can't be beat.

What a beautiful area you live in! I had never seen celery growing before, so thanks for that!
It never got above 68 here today. I am loving these cool temps, but hope they will moderate come winter.
