As we arrive at the end of the last week of the Old Red Barn Quilt-along, I'll show you my finished quilt! I still have a larger one to quilt but haven't decided yet upon a border or whether I even need a border on it.

On this quilt, I did an all-over design in the center and a modified feather in the border with some "fill-in" quilting. It was fun, but certainly not fast! It was probably "over-kill" but I think it looks good so I'm happy!

I had a really difficult time trying to get a good photo of this quilt. I tried it outside in the sun and in the shade and then in the house hanging over the railing. None of these photos show the quilts' true beauty! Photography is like that sometimes, at least for me.

Take a look at all the progress at the Flickr group and there's still a chance to win the Janome 6600 sewing machine if you go here and comment today! Drawing is tonight - Monday, July 6, 2009 at 6:00pm EDST US. Good luck!

Your quilting is wonderful, Terri -- even if it took a little longer than you hoped, the effect is worth it!

Absolutely STUNNING!!! No other word for it. From the fabric choices to the sewing to the quilting and border choice. You are one true quilt artist!

Just beautiful and the quilting design finishes it off perfectly! I always have trouble taking quilt photos too - your look great - especially the first one with the sun shining on it.
