Quilternity's Place

My niece asked me to make some clothes for her new doll. Well, I was thrilled to be asked so I ran right out and bought a couple of patterns. She wanted a short set first so that's what I made, using this pattern.

I was sure surprised at how much patterns have changed in the last 10+ years. We never left raw edges, even on doll clothes, but that's what this pattern suggests!



I guess these clothes are not expected to last very long, but it still goes against my grain as a seamstress.

My niece picked the fabrics and she did a good job, I think. It's cute and she will love it!! That will make me happy.
