Fractured QAL week three...

As some you may have guessed by my lobster post yesterday, I've been out of town. DH and I discovered (quite by accident) that all of our airline miles, accumulated over a 20 year period, were going to expire next January 2014. So we decided that we shouldn't let them go to waste and we booked a trip to Maine. It was lovely and very relaxing. I haven't even had a chance to look at my photos since we got in at midnight last night (and we're still feeling as if we're on eastern standard time), but if some of them are good, I'll share...

In the meantime, I made a bit more progress on my Fractured quilt before we left. I'm enjoying the process and am going to continue to work on it slowly (and carefully) until it's done. It almost looks more like the Red Center quilt pattern rather than the Fractured. I'm sure I'll be making this quilt pattern again since it's really quite fun.

Check out everyone's progress! These quilts are starting to come to life and they are all so different.

Take care,

I just realized you aren't making blocks, just playing with the parts. I really like your fabrics. I have a lot of leftover parts to play with too and need to add more for variety for another quilt.

I love how it transitions from a lighter red to the darker at the bottom. Great work! But what else would I expect! I'm "pea green with envy".

One mroe thing--it is fun, isn't it? Quite addictive frankly.

And hope you had your fill of lobster!

I had wondered if you were in Maine! Glad to hear you're using those miles and having some fun.

Loving this quilt!

I too only just noticedt hat you are not making the typical "9block" blocks but are mixing them - love what is happening!
