Playing with value...

I'm starting a new scrappy quilt and I'm playing with value this time via HSTs. I'm realizing that I don't have nearly enough lights, as is very light. I have plenty of mediums that can pass for lights when paired with really darks, but for this type of quilt I really want light lights. You know what that means, don't you? :)

Anyway, here's the start of it on the design wall - probably the most wrinkled design wall you will ever see. :)) I took this photo because I need to take these blocks down and put up my finished quilt to get some photos of it. When I get ready to put these blocks back up I can look at my photo and put everything back into it's spot. That's not to say that it will stay that way, though. As you can see, I have the other half of all the hst blocks along the right hand side of the wall... just waiting for their perfect spot.

I just got Louise Penny's The Cruelest Month  to listen to while I sew.

Take care,

Wish we could "play" together. Loving it so far. You're right--we never seen to have enough lights.
