My weekend...

I had a great weekend. A couple of great walks, an art show, dinner out with friends at Olive Garden, and a whole lotta quilting (well, making blocks at least)! Fun!

I used the blocks from my last post and made more using this free pattern by Bonnie Hunter. It's easy, fast, and fun and uses up a lot of scraps, which is my sewing goal right now.

I'm thinking I like the layout as it is so will make an effort to get it sewn into a top this week and possibly even get it sandwiched and the quilting started. I'm not quite sure yet how I'm going to quilt it but would welcome any ideas you might have to offer!

I was listening to Still Life by Louise Penny while working on this and it made the time "fly".

Take care,

I love this quilt, Terri! I'm not sure about the quilting. You could go with some free motion that follows the up and down waves of the darks and lights or simply do some kind of straight lines.
I love Louise Penny's books! They are interesting to us because the settings are often familiar. I like following her characters too. It's refreshing to read a good old fashioned mystery. I enjoyed the recent one called A Beautiful Mystery that is set in a monastery.
I planned to mention my latest good book on my blog today too.

Very pretty! Those scrappy patterns of Bonnie's are amazing. For the quilting, I like the previous suggestion to follow the motion of the waves.
