Practicing...

I'm still "practicing" with my camera and the garden is always a good subject to use for that. I was wandering around out there this morning and took these photos. I wish I could capture the beauty of these flowers...they are truly gorgeous! I'm much better at photography than I used to be but I have a very long way to go before I'll be truly happy with my results.

Didn't find any figs yesterday at the farmer's market. The one that is closest to me during the week always disappoints. There isn't enough variety for me...each stand seems to duplicate the next. And, I can never find anything a bit unusual. I know that and I don't go very often, but I really wanted fresh figs yesterday for a new recipe. Instead, I made rice pudding for dessert and it was great!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I just love Friday nights and the anticipation of a fun-filled weekend.

Take care,
