Charms squares are sew fun!

Since my niece told me she's started sewing lessons and a quilt in particular, I've been cutting charm squares to send to her. She's already made a tote bag and a pillowcase and her quilt is halfway done.

I'm so thrilled that she seems to love sewing already and I'm thrilled that my sister thinks it's important that she has the opportunity to learn. I think my sister is a wonderful mom to her two children.

We're having absolutely wonderful weather here - very "summer like" with temps in the high 70's and low 80's. I even managed to do a bit of pruning in the garden today since it is so nice out.

Glad to see the "younger set" interesting in quilting. Good for her mother! And--stop gloating. It was 9 degrees here this morning. But very dry and crisp! Nice day for a brisk walk, actually. Hope you had a wonderful holiday.
