I'm day dreaming...

while I'm busy loading (and learning) new versions of software on my new computer. Whew! It's exhausting, but fun in a weird way.

Anyway, I've been day dreaming a bit about re-decorating my family room and reupholstering my LR sofa and chairs. I've picked up a couple of fabrics to see how they actually look in my home before I make any kind of committment to purchase. Diane gave me the idea....she uses her 40% coupon to purchase home dec fabrics at Joanns. What a wonderful idea!!

The photo does not do these fabrics justice by any means. They are really gorgeous and a little more taupe than they look here. The solid color on the right is my paint color sample and it looks way more blue/lavendar than it is. It's more of an oyster color.

So, while I was in the mood, I decided to look for and save some photos of items that I would love to have in my home. These all happen to be from Ethan Allen, but Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn have some lovely things too! This coffee table comes in a black finish and is available as a square (which seems to be difficult to find.)

And, I'm always looking at lamps. I l-o-v-e lamps! Aren't these interesting?

I love this chandelier too. I think it would look great in my dining room, where I also need a new dining room table and chairs!

And, then there's this mirror! I've been coveting this mirror for sooooo long. But my husband keeps asking me, "where would we put it?" lol

Everything is wonderful! It would be so nice to get all new things to make the rooms 'new' again.

Thank you for such a nice mention! Those fabrics are so beautiful. And where are you finding those lamps?! I've never seen anything so unique -- and gorgeous.

By the way, I would buy the mirror -- you'll FIND a place to put it, guaranteed!

Very pretty fabrics and I love lamps too. It's so fun to re-decorate. I should have gone to school to be an Interior designer.

I love your fabric choices. Will you do the recovering yourself? I can hardly wait for my retirement years so I can redo things around the house....mostly painting and flooring :0)
