Escaping the heat...

On Sunday afternoon to escape the ferocious heat wave we've been having, DH and I hopped in the car and headed up to Ventura Harbor. There's a great place to eat there and then you can stoll along the harbor to see the sights. There's also a really good place for ice cream, if you're so inclined....which, of course, we were.

We came upon this boat which was for sale and DH was smitten. It's a gorgeous boat and it would be fun to go sailing in it, but we've owned a boat before and know we don't want another one. We still spent a lot of time looking it over! :) It was a lovely afternoon and about 10 - 15 degrees cooler than home.

It's always so much cooler by the water. We live really close to a river but don't have a boat either. We could rent one anytime but we haven't done that. I'm thinking that maybe we should!

It looks wonderful there. It doesn't hurt to look the boat over does it?

I heard about your record heat, I'm surprised there weren't brown outs from everyone cranking up the AC. It is a lovely boat but sailing is too much work IMHO, but it is fun window shopping :0)

A boat is sometimes like a cottage...a money pit...yes, we've had the boat...I love this one though! Sigh!

I can see why you would consider it! What a fine looking boat!
