A little of this, a little of that...

Not too much to write about lately. I've taken a rest from all the quilts that I have in various stages and I'm just "stripping" with some "clean-up" cuts. It's mindless and therapeutic and that's what I need right now.

I'm working on a pair of socks too, using the yarn that I purchased to make a sweater. I had it (the sweater) about three-quarters of the way finished and decided I didn't like it. Luckily I was using sock yarn to make it so now I'll have lots of socks instead.

We're having our "June gloom" weather. Really thick fog in the morning, which clears around 1-2pm to beautiful, blue skies. It's the kind of weather that is great for gardening since it doesn't get too hot. We finally got our tomato planted in the Topsy Turvy planter. This year we planted "Champion," a large, wonderful tasting tomato whereas last year, we planted cherry tomatoes. We didn't have a large crop which is why we decided to change varieties. Wish us luck!

And, some of the new Philip Jacobs fabrics have begun to arrive. They are glorious - that's all I can say about them!

Next weekend we'll go cherry picking. We've been doing that now for 21 years (we've only missed one year). It's so much fun and we come home with 30 - 40 lbs of cherries to eat. In one week, usually. A week where we don't go far from home! :))

Both of your sale items are so very tempting--gorgeous colors and appealing prices, but I need to change my SEE IT-->BUY IT mentality. Your fabrics are just too tempting. Someone is going to be thrilled to buy both.

Great photo of the foggy weather--it captures the humid, hazy atmosphere beautifully.

Such pretty fabrics to work with. I've seen those Topsy Turvy planters and wondered if they work well. I never seem to be able to grow cherry tomatoes either. Have fun picking cherries.

Oooo so bright and pretty. Mindless sewing is so rewarding :0)

We haven't planted a darn thing this year...too many other things going on...like golf LOL. It will be fun to hear how well the Topsy Turvy thingy works out.

Gotta love the mindless sewing -- so much production with very little brain power!

And my mouth is watering for those cherries!!!

Where do you pick cherries? I want to go! For some reason, cherries are my favorite fruit this year.
