Week 3...Old Red Barn Quilt-along. Here's the progress I've made. Week 3 is cutting and sewing your strips into strips sets! All different!

I've decided that there will be enough blocks to make two quilts. One I will do exactly as per Dana's instructions and on the other one I will add a border or two. What a wonderful bonus! Take a look at all the great progress at the Flickr group.

I also wanted to share this wonderful postcard that I received from Marie at ZQuilts a couple of weeks ago. Isn't it gorgeous? I'm just so touched to receive such a lovely and thoughtful little gift.

I believe that Marie was the very first person to discover my blog and list me on her blogroll. I was new to blogging and it was such a huge compliment. Since then I've been following her blog faithfully too. If you are at all familiar with Marie, you'll agree that she is a very talented artist, great photographer, and wonderful writer. She has such varied interests...you never know what topic she'll be writing about next and that's why it's fun to visit her blog on a regular basis.

And, although we've not managed to meet yet, I know that someday the opportunity will present itself. Until then...THANK YOU Marie!

Love your strips and LOVE the art card, too. Thanks for the link to Marie -- it would be fun to do an art card swap like this one, and your creativity would shine!

Its exciting to see the patterns and colors all together. Blogging has become so fun because of the like minded people you meet. I too hope to meet some of my new "friends" face to face some day.

I love your fabrics. They blend so well together, yet stand out in their own ways, too. It's going to be gorgeous!
