I loved making this Rail Fence quilt and I didn't care very much for the color red when I made it. But it was gorgeous when it was finished...so rich and so red! It taught me an important lesson - every color can be beautiful!

The Rail Fence pattern is a very easy one and it's fun. It's a great pattern for learning to combine fabrics.

Have a wonderful weekend. I'm certainly going to since this past week has been so hectic!

Love this quilt, red is so rich and luxurious. As an art teacher, my students would ask me which is my favorite color. My answer, all colors have beauty and in the right proportions and combination, can be aesthetically pleasing.

Red is a neutral, you know. I am making a rail fence variation right now and I love how easy they are.
