I'm still working on nine-patches and having fun while doing it.

Last night at my quilting group meeting, one of our members brought this quilt to share with us. She found and purchased the quilt top, which had been washed and was just rolled up in a ball when she got it, at a garage sale for $10. She wasn't even sure she would be able to flatten it enough to get it quilted, but with a little effort she did and is now attaching the binding. She appreciates the time the quilter took to piece the quilt top by hand and it's turned out to be quite a lovely quilt.

And, last but certainly not least, are these Loch Ness Diagonal Rib socks that I just (finally) finished. You might remember that I started knitting the Mad Color Weave socks with this yarn and had finished one foot down to the toe when I tried it on and decided I didn't like the bulky fit. So, I frogged it and it felt soooo good to do it. Then I decided to do the diagonal rib pattern since I like it so much but by the time I was nearing the finish line on these I was a little bored. After all, I essentially knit three whole socks using the same yarn! :) Anyway, I'm very pleased with the way they turned out and the fit is wonderful!

Happy Friday!

Hi Terr!
9 patch quilts are one of my all time favs - right up there with log cabins (I feel another log cabin coming on soon!).
I would like to make those socks. Where did you buy the pattern from? Let me know? I'll have to buy some of the yarn too of course !!

Happy weekend!

What a great story about the quilt. My mom's friend had just gotten a quilt top and backing at a garage sale, for free! She is not a quilter at all and asked me if I would quilt it on my long arm and bind it for her. I just finished binding it and it will be on its way back to her. Nice queen size quilt for free.

Love the socks!
