Guess what I made last Thursday night at my quilting group?

It's a really fun tote bag! Two of our LOTE (Ladies of the Evening) members were taught how to make this bag and then came and taught it to the rest of us. They thought there was no pattern for it, but the next day at the Glendale Quilt Show we all saw the same bag and it's from a Kwik Sew pattern.

I used two 1 1/4 yard pieces of fabric, two 12" lenths of 1" elastic and two 42" 1"-wide handles, which I made from contrasting fabrics. It took me two hours and I was done. I didn't add a zipper to this bag but that can be done very easily during the process.

Everyone in my group liked the lining fabric I used better than the outer fabric, but I LOVE them both!

I have these two fabrics in my shop! They are Anemone in Sage and Avedon Stripe in Sage if you are interested.

Teri,
I am very interested in the bag and the fabrics! Can you email me particulars please or am I too late to the dance?
