Tom Selleck!

I stayed home to quilt while my husband went to Home Depot - and saw Tom Selleck! I have to say that I'm just a bit envious. Last week we saw Reggie Miller at the mall, but that wasn't all that exciting for me. Hubby loved it though, because he's a BB player. I guess you just have to keep your eyes open - you never know who you'll see or where you'll see them!

I finished my quilt top with the orange polka-dot sashing and am now preparing a backing and batting for it. I'm going to send it off to be quilted as I just don't have the time to do it, or frankly, the desire. And it's always a thrill to take it out of the box when it's been returned to me and see it for the first time. I love that!

Hope you're having a lovely memorial day, in whatever way you choose to observe it!

  7. I'm afraid your beautiful quilt top has come in a close second to the Tom Selleck Sighting -- he is my favorite actor and was a major crush in my life for years. I would have drooled all over myself.

And, yes, the quilt is dynamite.

  8. Love your finished top, beautiful Terry!! My girlfriend was in love with Tom Selleck. I've seen quite a few stars in different airports while traveling. It's kind of fun to spot them. I bet you see a lot of stars living in CA.

  13. Really, you missed Tom Selleck! At Home Depot, no less. But I have to say, you have a wonderful, wonderful quilt top to show for being absent at Home Depot. That you will have forever. Gorgeous!

  14. I have a stack of 9" KF squares that are just screaming for me to follow your lead and snowball them ... the sashing you chose is beyond wonderful!

LOVE THAT QUILT (and I, too, had a huge crush on Tom Selleck ... he has aged well!)

  15. I love the sashing and all the colors! I'm wondering what size are the blocks?
The closest I will ever get to Tom Selleck is Lunenburg, where he does some filming for his TV movies. My son lives there.
