Six one-half yard pieces (3 yards) of 100% cotton fabrics to use in honor of Earth Day! All you have to do to be eligible to win these fabrics is leave a comment on this post telling me what your plans are for Earth Day.
If you haven't made any plans yet, you can find some great ideas/suggestions at the Earth Day Network and the Nature Conservancy is planning Picnics for the Planet all across the nation. Sounds like a lot of fun for a very good cause.
The giveaway will end at Midnight, EST, on Saturday, April 21st. Anonymous and duplicate comments will not be eligible to win.
Take care,

I'll be down visiting mom (she's having surgery on the 19th) so I think I'll work on her yard for her. Usually I'm home getting the garden ready for summer but that will have to wait a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway. I'm not really sure what I will be doing, as we have two loved ones who are just on the edge of entering eternity. But I would love to plant more flowers in my yard. I love how they entice the butterflies and bring a measure of beauty to my little bit of earth.
ReplyDeleteI plan on some organizing of my closets and recycling the good products I no longer need. Also some time in the sewing room, more organizing to come. Thank you for the generous give away.

ReplyDeleteI am celebrating with my class of 2nd graders. We harvested our worm vermicast and packaged it into recycled small milk containers. On Earth Day we are going to give it away to lucky gardeners!!
Happy Earth Day!

ReplyDeleteI'm from the UK (can I join in???) and we don't have Earth Day but it sounds like something that we should have! I'm spending the day working in my garden
Hmm, haven't thought too much about earth day since the 70's. I think I'll try to get a little flower planting done in the pots in front of my house. Love the fabrics!!!
ReplyDeleteNow that I feel much better and gain more strength each day, I plan to clean up my garden. Thanks for the giveaway of this beautiful bundle of fabrics.

Ha ha , HI Terri! I think the lack of entries probably comes from the same reason I haven't entered yet. ... Just no idea what sensible thing to do for earth day! I am sensible with things like re-using and recycling and saving energy etc all year round and earth day is likely to be the same... All the same, if you are happy with that answer I am happy to enter!
ReplyDeleteI'm cleaning out closet by closet and instead of throwing stuff in the bin, like I used to do, I now take it to the local thriftshop:)
ReplyDeleteMore cycling instead of taking the car is on my list too....
Here in Denmark we recycle a lot of things like clothes, paper and bottles. I don't own a car but use public transportation and my bike:-)
ReplyDeleteIn honour of Earth Day I'll sew a couple of shopping bags from recycled bed linen bought in a charity shop.
Plastic bags are so out:-)
Wonderful fabrics - thanks for the chance to win:-)
Great giveaway, Terri! Earth day is great, but every day honoring of the Earth and its limited resources is important. We will be moving soon and I am very conscious of reducing our footprint right now - we have so much stuff! I am busy reducing, sending stuff to others to reuse, and disposing of things in environmentally friendly ways. I just may have to stitch some selvages to together to celebrate while I'm at it! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteLove the bird fabric! And the orange! And the dots! I'm working on Earth Day, but I'm doing bird surveys so I hope that counts. Thanks for the chance :)
ReplyDeleteEarth day always reminds me of my Nana, the ultimate recycle/reuse queen. She's the one who always insisted on growing our own vegetables when I was little and Earth Day, I'm starting my garden with my Nana in mind. She was the ultimate composter too. I'm also cleaning my windows with vinegar and drying them with old newspaper (another Nana tip).

We're going to plant some bulbs that our neighbor gave us from his garden.
ReplyDeleteI plan on enjoying the outdoors with my family on Earth Day. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway
ReplyDeleteMy plans will be the same as always. I re-use whenever I can, compost in my backyard for my gardens and recycle anything possible. We have so little garbage that unless it's warm (the smell)we only put out our can every couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Thanks for the reminder about your giveaway. I'm crossing my fingers. Love the choices, btw.
ReplyDeleteI have no plans. Maybe I'll be planning what to make with my new fabric?! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI will be sewing some shopping bags tomorrow - and holding a sale in my shop (b&m) to encourage my customers to use recycled shopping bags.
