from these fabric samples that the manufacturers used to send out. Westminster used to send out much smaller samples, but they were mounted on a dark mat board - very classy actually. It certainly made ordering (and re-ordering) easier! Now, a lot of the time between markets, we're buying from paper samples.
Putting orders together the other day, I had to take this photo. It still always amazes me the ability of my customers to put together such a wonderful bunch of fabrics from a photo online. Great combination, don't you think?
We're finally having our typical h-o-t summer weather so I'm doing work which requires me to say inside, where it's nice and c-o-o-l!
Don't forget about the Star Struck Quilts blog tour!
I love that combination also. Reminds me of a cool summery drink. Your Trip Around the World quilt is gorgeous with all the rose & beige fabrics you used. I so enjoy seeing what you create. :)
ReplyDeleteOooo pretty, I wonder what she is going to make....
ReplyDeleteHow sad you don't get the fabric samples any more. I bet they were great for your own quilting projects.

I can't imagine how you decide which fabrics to order these days -- the choices are spectacular. I'd go broke trying to put everything in my shop!

The quilts are AMAZING! I LOVE the fabric/color choices you make! What a gift to have a great "eye" for color/texture! eem2848 at sbcglobal dot net
