When I made this quilt, it was only the second time I had ever machine quilted and it won a Blue Ribbon at the Fair. I was stunned since I felt I had no idea what I was doing at the time. The first quilt I machine quilted was a charity baby quilt for our guild and there was no "pressure" for the quilting to be great so I could "practice". For me it was the perfect way to get started.

I still love this quilt.

  1. I love it, too! I can't believe it was only the second one you made. Stunning! Started a Chevron Scarf yesterday and thought of you. So far, so good.

  4. Gorgeous, and that brings me hope, I've only ever done little practice sandwiches, but I'm about to quilt a baby quilt for my cousin's daughter, then I'll be quilting together an Irish Chain quilt I've almost finished and that I'm quite fond of. If it worked out for you, I hope to catch some of that luck!
