Have you thought about using...Looking really good. Have you thought about using a very tiny machine zigzag with invisible thread for sewing down the vine? BTW, Gwen Marston has a neat way of "pinning" down a vine for hand appliqué. She uses a VERY long straight stitch with a loosened tension and sews right down the middle. Keeps it in place and you can easily pull it out when you're finished with the hand work. I've tried it and it works great.
