I made scones this morning from here, only I substituted chocolate chips for the strawberries. Mmmm... good! The extras went into the freezer for future morning treats. DH loved these and ate quite a few in one sitting.
I've been lax in getting this Sew Together Bag posted here on the blog. It's been finished for over a week, maybe two. It was fun picking out all the fabrics to use and easy to sew. I'll be making more for sure. Now, I'm in the process of cutting out a Caravan Tote to begin at quilting on Tuesday. I must say that the instructions are a little confusing, but I'm sure I'll muddle my way though it. It's worth it cuz it's a cute bag!
Take care,
The Sew Together bag is definitely on my one day list. I've bought the pattern and book marked the sew along blog posts (which I've heard save a lot of grief).
ReplyDeleteDid you find the fabric you were looking for? Pretty.
10 days is a long time for guests...!
Checked out the recipes. Scones sound do-able, but did you really spend a day making that soup? Was it really worth it?
ReplyDeleteAnd the bag you have in mind looks as if it would make a great knitting bag. Anxious to see it finished. Love your fabric choices on your most recent bag--as usual.
In response to Sally's question, "did I really make that soup?" the answer is YES!
ReplyDeleteIt only takes an afternoon and not all of that is standing over the stove since the soup simmers for a couple hours. It's really worth making... this is my second batch and I'm going to make sure I always have a couple of containers of it in the freezer. I love it!
Your sew together bag looks awesome, I love that pattern so much I must make another one too. I've never made chicken noodle soup but that recipe sounds so good that I might have to bookmark it for winter.
